The York Shakespeare Project ...... is committed to performing all of Shakespeare's known plays in York over a period of about 20 years. In addition to staging the plays, the Project aims to provide workshops related to each production Founded as a charitable trust in 2002, we have so far produced 13 plays, including all three parts of Henry VI in 2007 and, most recently, As You Like It in the shadow of York Minster in July 2008. ThanksMany thanks to everybody who worked so hard to make As You Like It such an enjoyable and successful production. Many members of the audience were keen to know about future productions and several wanted to know how they could get involved. What's Next?Anybody wanting to get involved won't have long to wait because hot on the heels of our Summer Production we are now embarking on our Autumn Production of The Merchant of Venice. We are currently inviting applications from Directors and will soon be
hosting open Auditions for Actors.
Anybody interested in getting involved in technical aspects of the production including stage management,
lighting, costume or music is also very welcome to attend auditions or may contact
